LOS ANGELES – July 10, 2006 – Fitzsu Society, two brick-and-mortar stores and an online portal dedicated to spotlighting modern design in Los Angeles and abroad, in association with Playsam, the leading Scandinavian design company for executive wooden toys, announces the 1st ever fitzsu society Grand Prix to be held on Thursday, October 19, 2006 in Los Angeles. This inaugural charity event will premiere the original works of over fifty prominent designers, all of whom are well-known in their own respective industries, by using a simple yet sophisticated toy car, the Playsam Streamliner Classic Car.

EXCELLENT SWEDISH DESIGN with honourable mention was the jury's verdict. The Swedish National Museum and Swedish Design Council selected the Streamliner series as a 1998 Swedish Design Classic.
